It never hurts sometimes to go back to basics. So here are some Yardi 101 top tips that can be handy for your users, and some are often overlooked.
Probably the most popular, quick and easy tool is the menu search. If you can’t quite remember where an item lives that you only use once a year or are in a role you’re not too familiar with – the menu search is a life saver!
Just type in a word or part of the name that you know will be the final menu item and Yardi will list all the menus with that match partially or fully.
Unique to individual user accounts, adding favourites can be really help for those handful of menus that you live in every day.
To add, simply navigate to the menu you’d like to add but instead of left clicking to select, right click and select Add to Favorite.
The favourite drop down in the top right of your Voyager screen (star icon) will now list that menu you’ve just added.
The site search feature allows you to find a variety of Voyager records across your entire database. Simply enter your key word, or code to search and Yardi will bring back results from a range of record/object types that match your search criteria.
The results will display in the search results box in the top right of the Voyager screen and will have tab separating each record type for you to look through.
If you have just navigated away from a page and would like to find it again quickly, you can utilise the History option with the clock icon in the top right of the Voyager screen (just next to favourites and under site search). It will show you a list of recently visited pages and you can select one to quickly navigate back to it.
